For the industrial and domestic markets, fibre cement is now not usually chosen unless it’s for patching up. For these applications it’s been superseded by more insulating materials such as composite panel and single skin metal profiled sheeting fitted with rigid insulation. However for the agricultural market, fibre cement remains the favourite for livestock buildings as condensation and sound transfer is greatly reduced when compare to single skin metal sheets.
