FLASHINGS

Steel flashings from Thomas Panels and Profiles are designed to provide the essential finishing detail that completes a steel-clad building, combining practical weather protection with a clean, professional appearance.

Manufactured from high-quality coated steel and formed with precision folding techniques, our flashings are created to seal junctions, protect exposed edges, and enhance the overall durability of roof and wall systems.

Whether used along ridges, eaves, barge boards, corners or vertical transitions, flashings play a vital role in preventing water ingress, reducing wind exposure, and ensuring that steel sheeting performs reliably throughout the life of the structure.

A key advantage of Thomas Panels and Profiles flashings is their versatility. Because every project presents different structural layouts, sheet profiles, and aesthetic requirements, our flashings are produced with bespoke manufacturing in mind.

From simple angles to more complex multi-folded sections, each piece can be tailored in size, profile, coating and colour to suit the exact needs of the installation.

This flexibility allows architects, fabricators and installers to achieve both functional performance and a consistent visual finish, whether working on agricultural buildings, industrial units or commercial developments.

By combining durable materials with adaptable design, Thomas Panels and Profiles flashings provide a dependable solution for finishing and protecting steel sheeting systems.

The result is a range of components that not only safeguard the building envelope but also contribute to the sharp lines and refined detailing expected from modern steel construction.

CORNERS

Corner flashings are essential finishing components used on steel-sheeted buildings. They protect exposed edges, seal joints, and give the structure a clean, professional appearance. You’ll typically see them on barge board corners (roof edges) and vertical wall corners where two sheets meet.

BARGE BOARDS

In addition to standard corner barge trims, Thomas Panels and Profiles manufacture a range of more contemporary styles such as shadowline and vergeline barge boards.

These designs introduce depth and visual separation through stepped folds and recessed details, creating a subtle shadow effect that adds character to modern steel buildings.

Manufactured from high-quality colour-coated steel, each barge board can be tailored to suit specific roof pitches, cladding profiles and project requirements, allowing for both aesthetic flexibility and reliable weather performance.

By combining bespoke fabrication with durable materials, these barge flashings deliver a refined edge detail that complements the clean lines of modern roofing systems.

RIDGES

Ridge flashings from Thomas Panels and Profiles are designed to provide a secure, weather-resistant finish along the apex of steel sheeted roofs, forming a vital barrier where two roof slopes meet.

Positioned at one of the most exposed points of a building, ridge flashings play an important role in preventing water penetration, controlling airflow, and protecting the internal structure from the effects of wind-driven rain and debris.

Manufactured from durable, colour-coated steel, each ridge flashing is formed to sit neatly over the roof profile, creating a strong and visually consistent line that completes the roof system.

Drips

Drip flashings from Thomas Panels and Profiles are designed to provide a clean, protective finish along the lower edge of wall cladding, directing water safely away from the building envelope.

Installed at the base of wall sheets, these flashings help prevent moisture from tracking back towards the structure, reducing the risk of corrosion, staining, or water ingress at ground level.

By creating a controlled runoff point, drip flashings protect both the steel sheeting and the supporting framework, while also helping to maintain a neat and professional visual line at the base of the elevation.

APRON

Apron flashings from Thomas Panels and Profiles are designed to create a reliable weatherproof transition where roof sheets meet an abutment, wall, or rising structure.

Commonly installed at the point where a lower roof finishes against a vertical surface, apron flashings help direct water away from vulnerable junctions, preventing moisture ingress and protecting both the cladding and the supporting structure beneath.

As well as providing essential sealing performance, they deliver a neat, continuous finish that enhances the overall appearance of the roofline.

PROFILE SUPPORT FLASHINGS

Profile support flashings from Thomas Panels and Profiles are designed to provide a practical and discreet solution where standard flashings alone cannot achieve a secure or visually balanced finish.

Installed within the valley of the cladding profile, these components are used when the next crest of the sheet sits too far from the edge of a main flashing, making it difficult to fix or support without increasing the flashing size beyond what is aesthetically desirable.

By creating a formed support that follows the height and shape of the sheet profile, profile support flashings allow smaller, cleaner-looking trims to be installed while maintaining strength and stability.
