Steel profiled sheets are adaptable too, so when a thermal barrier is needed to prevent condensation (eg when the air inside the building is warmer than outside, anti-condensation fleece can be applied to the underside of the sheet.

GALVANISED COATING

We use a high quality base steel for all of our manufactured products. This is then hot-dip galvanised with a Z275g/m² coating to ensure longevity of the foundation material.

You can expect sheets and flashings of this material to last approximately 10 years. This galvanised base layer is available in a range of thicknesses depending on the requirement.

POLYESTER

Polyester coated materials use the same Z275 galvanised substrate and alkyd primer as the plastisol materials but are then coated with a 25μm Polyester paint.

Mostly used in agricultural applications due to the complimentary colour range and stability in non-aggressive environments. This coating can be expected to last up to 10 years before first maintenance isrequired if properly maintained this time can be extended.

PLASTISOL (PVC) – Polyvinyl Chloride

Plastisol is a widely used coating in building applications valued for its durability wide range of colours and low maintenance. The top coat isa 200 μm embossed layer of chemically stablePVC providing both appearance and weather resistance. Beneath this is a light grey alkyd polyester primer that ensures strong adhesion.

An optional underside plastisol coating can be applied for extra protection in harsh environments. This requires a minimum of 3weeks’ notice and 1500 m² minimum order.

The coating’s lifespan depends on location colour and maintenance: approximately 25 years for inland areas with lighter colours and around 15years for coastal areas with darker shades.
