Meeting the structural and performance requirements of a mixed-use industrial space.

Project overview

Thomas Panels & Profiles supplied all composite cladding, cold-rolled steelwork, and flashings for a purpose-built industrial depot. The new facility provides dedicated service bays, mezzanine offices, and a parts store, designed to support the company’s continued growth in the concrete equipment sector.

What was Required?

The depot comprises six bays, five of which form workshop space and one dedicated to amenities. Three mezzanine floors were incorporated to provide offices and parts storage. Our supply included a full composite envelope in Goosewing Grey, complemented by Solent Blue feature flashings for a sharp, modern finish. Cold rolled purlins and rails were supplied to match exact design loads and spans, supporting both the main structure and the mezzanine floors. The building features integrated crane beams to support a 10-tonne overhead gantry crane, as well as triple-skin rooflights to maximise daylight in the workshop areas. Preparation for a future solar PV installation was incorporated on one roof slope.

The completed building delivers an insulated, weather-tight envelope with strong visual appeal and high functional performance. Our supply of a complete composite and cold rolled package reduced the need for multiple suppliers, streamlining procurement and ensuring consistency in quality and finish.
