Standing Seam Roofing for Bespoke Residential Dwelling

Client:

Riverside Construction

Location:

Broomy Hill, Hereford

Completed:

2026

A high-spec residential build required a system that could support a contemporary design while ensuring consistent, long-term performance.

Project overview

Thomas Panels & Profiles supplied a complete standing seam roofing package.  Delivered by Riverside Construction, this high-spec residential build required a system that could support a contemporary design while ensuring consistent, long-term performance.

The roof design placed clear emphasis on clean lines and accurate detailing. A coordinated system approach was essential to maintain quality across all junctions and to minimise risk during installation.

What was Required?

The contractor needed a roofing solution that would align with the architectural intent of the dwelling while remaining practical to install. Consistency across ridges, eaves, and verges was critical, along with a finish that would remain visually sharp across multiple roof planes.

Efficient installation was also a priority, particularly with site constraints limiting handling and access. Ensuring full compatibility between panels, fixings, and flashings helped avoid delays and reduced the likelihood of on-site adjustments.

The system was built around ClickSeam 465 standing seam panels, manufactured in 0.7mm Granite HDX pre-finished steel in Anthracite. Panels were produced to length to suit the roof layout, supporting accurate seam alignment and reducing on-site cutting.

A full range of matching components was supplied, including vented ridge supports, mono ridge and ridge flashings, eaves and barge flashings, internal butt straps, and stainless steel and colour-matched fixings. An on-site edging tool was also provided to support precise finishing during installation.
