Thomas Panels & Profiles supplied a full cladding, roofing, and cold rolled package for a high performance free range poultry site.
The project included two large capacity poultry houses, a satellite egg packing facility, all built to meet the client’s award winning standards for production and welfare. Two clear span steel framed poultry houses, each housing 16,000 birds, were constructed alongside a satellite egg packing and storage facility. The layout included an egg conveyor bridge between buildings and a centralised muck belt system, designed for operational efficiency. Materials were chosen for their durability, thermal performance, and suitability for intensive agricultural environments.
The build required strict adherence to ventilation requirements, with multiple systems installed to maintain optimum conditions. Our supply of pre punched cold rolled steel and custom flashings allowed rapid installation and precise fit, ensuring the buildings were fully weatherproof ahead of schedule.
The site went on to achieve record breaking production figures of over 500 eggs per bird housed and won the 2020 National Egg and Poultry Award for Egg Producer of the Year. Our robust and precisely supplied building materials supported both the operational success and long term durability of the site.
